Getting to Split Airport (Kaštela) by boat

Split Airport sits at Kaštela, on the same stretch of coast as Trogir, and the water is often the shortest way to it. The boat runs to the Trogir or Kaštel Štafilić waterfront and a car covers the last few minutes to the terminal, which avoids the coast road entirely.

The airport bus and a taxi both use the D8 coast road, which backs up badly on July and August afternoons and gives you no useful way to predict the delay. The boat leg is unaffected by that traffic, so the arrival time holds up on exactly the days the road does not.
